Technology Issue CIS 100 W02 Goffnett 22/6/15 How Technology has Impacted our School Systems Technology has evolved in many ways in the past few decades and is going to continue to evolve even more as time goes on. These changes in technology are bound to affect every aspect of our society, which includes our education system. Our schools are incorporating these technologies into the classroom, but what is the impact of this? Is technology in the classroom a positive or negative? There are aspects to both sides of the story and it is not a black or white answer. Technology has changed many things about school, some for the better, and some for the worse. Never the less, it is an issue that isn’t simplified with just one answer. I will discuss the positives and negatives of technology, and provide you with examples of each. Firstly, I am going to discuss the positive aspects of technology being incorporated into classes. One way is that technology opens us up to a limitless amount of information. When we give children the tools to access all of this information, we g ive them the potential to learn much more than they could without it.
